Polymer-housed cartridges
Match the housing design, resin, ceramic discs and sealing arrangement.
FAUCET CARTRIDGES / SEALS / THERMAL INTERFACES
Lubricating silicone greases for faucet cartridges, pipe assembly and sealing rings, plus thermal silicone greases for electronic interfaces.

FAUCET CARTRIDGES & SEALS

Illustrative cutaway exposing the stem, ceramic discs and seals directly beneath the handle.

A component view of the rotating valve stem, threaded body and O-ring interfaces.

Review assembly friction and compatibility with the actual seal material.

Match the housing design, resin, ceramic discs and sealing arrangement.

Review adjustment sliding and multiple seal interfaces.

Match contacting media, seal materials and operating conditions to the exact grade.
Housing designs use different polymers, including ABS and POM. Confirm the actual resin grade, brass finish, ceramic and elastomer in the assembly. The resin of each pictured cartridge must be checked in its manufacturer’s documentation.
DRINKING-WATER APPLICATIONS

PRODUCT SERIES
Select a grade for the actual role; faucet and seal lubricants and thermal-interface greases have different formulation requirements.

Lubrication for faucet cartridges, pipe assembly, sealing rings, O-rings and valves. Review contact media, materials, operating torque and retention.

Explore application & reviewConfirm composition, temperature range, viscosity or consistency, material compatibility and required registrations for the exact grade.
APPLICATION & SELECTION
Select silicone greases separately for faucet cartridges, pipe assembly, seals and O-rings, or electronic thermal interfaces. Lubricating silicone grease and thermal silicone grease serve different roles.
Identify the sliding ceramic discs, valve stem, seal materials and water contact.
Evaluation focusCompare operating torque, retention after cycling, leakage and material compatibility.
Review pipe and seal materials, contacting fluid, pressure and application location.
Evaluation focusCheck insertion force, seal damage or swelling, and leakage after assembly.
Define the interface between the electronic component and heat sink, including gaps and applied thickness.
Evaluation focusEvaluate thermal resistance, required electrical insulation and retention after thermal cycling.

PROCESS ENGINEERING
TECHNICAL REVIEW
For numerical specifications, refer to the current grade-specific TDS.
For a typical ceramic cartridge, review the sliding ceramic discs, valve stem and seals. Select using the actual materials, lubrication locations, dose and water-contact conditions.
It is evaluated for assembly lubrication and seal protection. It is not presented as a substitute for pipe adhesive or thread sealant.
They serve different roles. Faucet and seal grades are selected for motion, retention and compatibility; thermal grades for interface thermal resistance and thickness. Curing thermal adhesives are another material type.
